The Lonsdale Citizens' Association supports the vision of a diverse community comprising:

• the old and the young
• renters and owners
• the physically fit and the physically challenged
• singles and various family groups
• a combination of races and religions, and
• groups of varying income levels

To foster such a community,

TLCA encourages:

• Adequate and affordable housing for all.
• A high quality of life by controls on density, noise, traffic and pollution.
• Building designs which are in harmony with their neighbourhoods.
• Social services and amenities to meet residents' needs.
• Support of local merchants and businesses.

We reject the notion that the bottom line is the only criteria for planning our community or that any one group should dominate the process of deciding what our community will become

in the 21st Century.
